Recharge With Aromatherapy (Loving You series)

We have all heard and even used the phrase "Stop and smell the roses" at some time in our lives.  Did you know it's actually a great remedy and treatment to promote healing?  Flowers, plants and spices emit a pleasant odor and when incorporated in a beauty routine the fragrances provide a way to improve emotional, physical and spiritual well-being.  The simple use of aromatherapy beautifies the skin's complexion, stimulates creativity, reduces stress, helps induce sleep as well as heal burns and reduce scarring.  The benefits are similar to a steam facial.  For tips on how to create your own steam facial, read my previous post: It's Getting a Little Steamy.

One of the easiest and most relaxing ways to enjoy aromatherapy is in a bathtub full of warm water.  Adding a few drops of lavender or chamomile at the end of a long day is just enough to slip in, deeply breathe in the aroma and relax.

Have you ever experienced aromatherapy?
